Here’s yet another variation on the spiral puzzle: the two-tone! Again, my thanks to Alex Boisvert and Crossword Nexus for both the introduction and the construction tool. Here’s how it works:
Each entry begins on its correspondingly numbered square and moves along the path clockwise, ending at the center.
ALL SQUARES entries: These occupy consecutive squares without skipping any.
EVERY OTHER entries: Some will occupy only consecutive gray (odd-numbered) squares (skipping the white squares). Some will occupy only consecutive white (even-numbered) squares (skipping the gray squares).
When the grid is complete, every square will be used in exactly two entries.
As always, I’d be interested to know what you think.
