Happy birthday!!! Respect and admiration to all who do 1A/1D. I am not among your number. Fun puzzle. I laughed at 7A because I would have had a hard time not cluing it as “One-time Red Sox pitcher Boyd, who was never accused of lubricating a pitch despite his nickname,” which virtually no one would have gotten. Any way, I hope you are having/have had a wonderful birthday.
