I noted in my last post that I hoped to share more themeless grids. Here’s a 70-word offering that I hope is an enjoyable solve. My seed was 15-Across, inspired by an excellent National Book Award-winning memoir I recently finished reading.

Fun, smooth, wide-open grid. I liked the crossing of 23D and 25A and learned something from 26D, 41A (re KJ) and 55A. Lots of good clues – 36D, 49A, and 51A were my favorites. I think you need an “a” at the end of “Pandor” in the clue for 47A.
Thank you, Jeff! I love that 26D factoid; can’t remember when I first learned it, but it was definitely a “Wow, who knew?!” moment. And thanks for your eagle eye: “a” now added to 47A’s clue.
